Interface reading

Read the screen before the sparkle

A dice panel can feel busy. The practical move is to separate result, rules, timing and decoration.

Result area

The result area should show dice faces or a total. Read this area first, because it is closer to the rule than lights, banners or icons.

Round status

Look for whether the screen is waiting, revealing or finished. A finished round should be treated as history, not as a signal for the next one.

Icon rows

Rows of circles, bars and small symbols may summarize previous rounds. They can be useful for orientation, but they do not control future dice.

Language pressure

If a screen uses strong action words, pause and return to the rule table. Adults should not let interface pressure replace clear reading.
